Script 1 – The Journey

‘So jao bachi, good night’

That was the last message I sent her. She hadn’t replied, I’m sure she was asleep.

The tingling feeling, I get when I think of her is making me restless.

‘ I want to see her now’, I said with all the excitement in the world.

‘Are you crazy? what about work tomorrow?’, said Akash. Akash is my work mate. The one person I am the most comfortable with. It has not been a long while since we have met, but I can trust him with my life.

‘I can take a sick leave. I have already mailed Shashank’, I said. Shashank was our HR and he’s one of those I respect the most at work.

I turned to him and said ‘Akash, we must go now’.

‘Are you telling me, we are driving to Vizag?’, Akash said shockingly.

‘Yes’, I said.

‘On your bike?’, Akash muttered.

Yes.

‘There’s no way, I’m going nor letting you go’, he said. I can understand his care, but I’m not in a position to explain to him.

‘Not even if I get you Johnnie Walker?’ I said while I was searching for my keys. Akash loves it, he would do anything to get Johnny Walker.

 I have found the keys and I found Akash looking for his shoes.

‘Why do you think you need them’, I said mockingly.

There’s a pause in between.

‘Just for the same reason you want to see her’, he said.

No offence, he had a point. ‘Let’s go’ I said.

I was busy searching for the nearest liquor store near me. We reached there and bought Johnnie Walker and some stuff Akash wanted. He looked extremely happy.

We began our journey. Akash has already scored 2-0 in Johnnie Walker league. The only good thing Akash is master at is he can steadily sit on the bike even if he finished the full bottle in one sitting. He is a champion drinker.
